Celtic midfielder Scott Brown insists he is not interested in a move, following links with English clubs.

"It's fine if no-one is sold because I'm happy here," said the 23-year-old.

"I'm a Celtic player and I'm enjoying it just now. I want to keep that going. I'm enjoying winning games and looking forward to the future.

"The thing is everyone wants Champions League and Uefa Cup football. We are disappointed that we didn't get further but there's always next year."

The Scotland star signed a five-year contract at Celtic Park after his £4.4m switch from Hibernian in May 2007.

Rangers, Middlesbrough, Tottenham and Everton were also chasing Brown before he agreed to what remains the record transfer fee between Scottish clubs.

Spurs have been credited with renewed interest in Brown, while several newspapers have carried reports of a possible £9m bid from Portsmouth.

Celtic's lead at the top of the Premier League was cut to five points after Dundee United came back from two goals down to earn a draw on Saturday.

Nobody enjoys drawing a game, especially when we were two goals up and playing so well

Scott Brown

"We still have a lot of games to go in the season and we'll have to prove ourselves over those," Brown told the club website.

"I didn't think it was over at 2-0 against United. The game's never won at that point. United came out well second half and dominated the game. We didn't really get into the fighting spirit.

"The disappointing thing was the second-half performance. We'll have to play better than we did then and keep the ball better.

"Everyone's frustrated and nobody enjoys drawing a game, especially when we were two goals up and playing so well.

"Every team that comes to Celtic Park and Ibrox wants to fight and play as well as they can because Celtic and Rangers are the two main teams in the league. Other teams want to prove they are just as good as us.

"Against United it just didn't come off for us. We created a few chances and had one cleared off the line, but fair play to them, they played very well on the day.

"I think Craig Levein's done very well for Dundee United. They have drawn their last four games against Celtic and Rangers and that shows you how good they are."

If the right club comes in a bet you he'll be out of there.

just pulling from the original post nimrod...although this rumour is getting shouted on the radio, in the press & on the TV...

so maybe there is something in it.

how much would you say he is worth...i mean if boyd is pulling in £4million then brown must be ????????

Don't think a 9 million bid was actually made yet. If a club came in and offered that then I'd be very suprised if we didn't accept it.

You would soon know if a £9M bid had been made.

Broon would be plying his trade elsewhere.
