It was enough to make you want to watch another sport, any sport.

If this was the best of the best in World Football then football is at its lowest.

There were some very good games, especially in the later stages of the tournament.

Germany-England, Germany-Argentina, Holland-Uruguay, Uruguay-Ghana to name but a few.

Largely I don't think this will go down as one of the more memorable tournaments.

I didn't see a single classic, the games you mentioned above were forgettable for all concerned and there was nothing interesting for the neutral

Yeah but the games I mentioned were all extremely watchable and entertaining.

Outside of Germany and Argentina, all the 'big' nations played very conservatively.

TBF Dan I think The England - Germany game will not be forgotton for quite a while laugh.gif

I think football is getting worse by the year, Italy and Spain have won the world cup recently and they didn't even look like good teams, they just wanted to scrape victories and not "go for it"

It seems as if more and more teams are holding back and taking it easy, the germans were the only team that impressed me this year and for that my opinion is that they are the best team in the world.
