It was enough to make you want to watch another sport, any sport.

There were some very good games, especially in the later stages of the tournament.
Germany-England, Germany-Argentina, Holland-Uruguay, Uruguay-Ghana to name but a few. Largely I don't think this will go down as one of the more memorable tournaments. |

I didn't see a single classic, the games you mentioned above were forgettable for all concerned and there was nothing interesting for the neutral

Outside of Germany and Argentina, all the 'big' nations played very conservatively. |
