English Premier League Clubs

Arsenal Football Football Club

The North London club, also know as the 'Gunners', were founded in 1886 in Woolwich. Arsenal actually began their decorated history playing in South East London but later moved (1913) North across the city to the much loved Highbury. This ground witnessed years of great success with Arsenal winning multiple Division One and Premier League titles as well as the League Cup, FA Cup and European Cup Winners Cup. In May 2006 the Gunners again moved to their current home the Emirates Stadium.

Aston Villa Football Club

The Birmingham club, formed in 1874, play their home football at Villa Park in the Aston area of the second city. Villa, also known as 'the Villans' and 'the Lions', were one of the founding members of the Football League and have enjoyed hearty success picking up 21 major honours. The most notable of which was undoubtedly their European Cup Winners crown of 1982.

Birmingham City Football Club

The West Midlands club play their home football at the St Andrew Stadium in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham. The 'Blues' have only one major honour to their name, lifting the League Cup in 1963 defeating city rivals Aston Villa 3-1 in the final. Birmingham were also the first English club to compete in a European Competition accepting an invitation to the Friars Cup in 1955.

Blackburn Rovers Football Club

The Lancashire Club, often nicknamed 'Rovers' and the 'Blue and Whites', were established in 1875 and were one of the founding members of the football league. After a number of FA Cup crowns during their early years the club had to wait some time before tasting major success again, a League Title in 1994, their only in their history. Rovers play their home games at Ewood Park.

Bolton Wanderers Football Club

The North West Club, also known as the 'Trotters", play their home football at the Reebok stadium situated in the Horwich area of the city. Formed in 1874 as Christ Church FC Wanderers were one of the founding members of the Football League. The Trotters enjoyed a memorable decade during the 1920's including three FA Cup wins in 1923, 1926 and 1929, not winning that trophy again until 1958, their last major trophy.  

Chelsea Football Club

The West London Club, also known as 'the Blues', were founded in 1905 in the Rising Sun pub. Chelsea FC play their home football at Stamford Bridge, situated in the Fulham area of London. European success has seen Chelsea lift the UEFA Cup Winners Cup twice in 1971 and again, more recently, in 1998. Under Jose Mourinho the Club picked up back to back titles during the 04/05 and 05/06 seasons.

Derby County Football Club

Derby County, also known as 'the Rams', were formed in 1884 as an offshoot of Derbyshire County Cricket Club. The Club were one of the founding members of Football League in 1888 and have a proud and successful history. Honours include an FA Cup Crown in 1945 as well as the English First Division in 72 and 75. Derby play their home games at Pride Park.

Everton Football Club

The Liverpool club, also known as the Toffees, were founded in 1878 as St. Domingo F.C. only to be renamed Everton F.C. the following year. The Toffees have an illustrious history winning a number of Division One titles, FA Cups and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985. A final which saw them defeat Rapid Vienna 3-1 in Rotterdam.

Liverpool Football Club

The Merseyside Club, also known as 'the Reds', are the most successful Club in English history having won more trophies than any of their rivals. Liverpool also have a fine European record having lifted the European Cup an amazing five times, most recently in 2005 in Istanbul after a pulsating final against AC Milan. Manchester City Football Club

The Manchester Club, also known as 'the Citizens' and 'City', were formed in 1880 as St. Marks, then renamed Ardwick A.F.C. before settling on their current name. City have enjoyed a proud and successful history picking up two League titles, two League Cups, four FA Cups and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1970. The Club moved from Maine Road to their now home, City of Manchester Stadium, in 2003.

Manchester United Football Club

Formed for railway workers in 1878 as Newton Heath L&YR F.C., the club has become one of the most famous in the world. Playing at Old Trafford, United have held the highest average attendance in English football since 1964/65 in all but six seasons. Manchester United's greatest feat to date is undoubtedly their treble win in 1999, picking up the League crown, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

Middlesbrough Football Club

The Teeside Club, nicknamed Boro, were founded in 1876 by players from the local Cricket Club looking to stay fit during the winter. The Club ended over 125 years without a major trophy in 2004, lifting the League Cup with a 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers. Boro play their home football at the Riverside Stadium located by the River Tees. 

Newcastle United Football Club

Football in its modern form arouses passions on Tyneside like no other sport or pastime. This passion is provided by Newcastle Utd, a team founded in 1892 after the merger of two local clubs, Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End. Since their formation Newcastle Utd have played at St James Park and despite having been deprived of recent success they are still considered a sleeping giant in the English game.

Portsmouth Football Club

The South Coast Side, who were founded in 1898 by the owner of a local Brewery, have enjoyed a proud and successful history. Honours include an FA Cup crown in 1939 as well as back to back League Titles in 1949 and 1950. Portsmouth, also affectionately nicknamed 'Pompey', play their home football at the lively Fratton Park located in the Fratton area of the South Coast City.
